Garden pagodas

A garden can be decorated in any style. One of the most mysterious and yet fascinating designs are undoubtedly gardens inspired by Far Eastern philosophy. Arrangements of this type are distinguished by characteristic decorations, among which pagodas turn out to be the most important.

Pagoda is one of the inseparable elements of decor in the oriental style, and made of top-class concrete based on white cement is not only resistant to adverse weather conditions, but above all makes the garden looks phenomenal and allows you to achieve a state of inner harmony.

Garden pagoda in Japanese style

Interestingly, although the pagoda is nowadays mainly associated with Japanese climates, their shape probably derives from ancient India, specifically from the Indian stupa. This earthen burial mound, topped with a quadrilateral porch, a mast and umbrellas sometimes transformed into a spire, underwent a metamorphosis over the centuries along with the spread of Buddhism. The pagoda primarily elongated, and eventually acquired the characteristic shape of a tower on a circular, square or octagonal plan. Subsequent storeys were crowned with roofs of a specific design.

In countries where Buddhism is dominant the pagoda is a common sacred building. The garden pagoda, on the other hand, serves aesthetic functions as well as a garden lamp.

Decorative and functional garden pagodas

In oriental gardens in Chinese or Japanese style, pagodas are the most distinctive decorations. Modeled on classic pagodas from the Far East, they become the basis for arrangements in accordance with the principles of feng shui.

On one hand they look like miniature Buddhist temples, but at the same time they are often aesthetic and original garden lighting. The concrete pagoda lamp allows you to get a magical atmosphere of the Orient. Just put a candle in a specially hollowed out place, and in the evening enjoy the view of a decorative source of light.
